The original cider tavern founded in 1803 with a selected variety of regional dishes: Guests are welcomed like old friends and treated to the richness and variety of German and Hessian cuisine – in the form not of huge helpings but of wonderfully hearty, almost cheerful snacks.
Beneath the beautiful garden lie the foundations of its apple wine ambitions: in ancient vaults lined with traditional wooden barrels as well as modern tanks, the home-brewed Apfelwein is fermented, aged and stored alongside 300 cider varieties from all over the world.
